Build the platform to track progress of patient improvement on a real time basis. Client identified a gap in the market for a technology product that allows users to manage home health therapy cycle 24×7 and 365 days a year as well as helps to connect all therapists by geography within USA.

The Solution

A cloud based product with real time communication channels between key entities in the Therapy Assistance Services. zCon conceptualized and developed the entire product which provides real time seamless communication between Home Health Agencies, Therapy Staffing Companies, and Therapists. zCon developed a web application as well as a Tablet based mobile application for iOS and Android platforms. The solution has two components – Finder and Tracker.

Finder

Problem Statement

Client was already working with another vendor in USA but without any tangible results for product migration from ‘on premise’ to ‘Cloud’ deployment. The vendor approached to zCon with a challenge to deliver the new product within a tight schedule aimed at faster Go To Market.

The requirement was to develop a software product, for Loan Processing in US, supporting US government initiative for Small Business. Before initiating the engagement with zCon, the client had more than 35 customer implementations across the USA.

The Solution

zCon not only delivered the product within the tight schedule but also facilitated data reconciliation and migration for all 30+ customers of CDC so as to migrate product from ‘on premises’ to ‘Cloud’.

SQL Server Reporting Services facilitates creating several management reports. Predefined reports with some parameters (.rdl) were uploaded over reporting server. Additionally, a custom report generator was created where users could design their own reports and export them in .pdf and .xls form. The users still have the flexibility to create and modify the reports according to their own parameters and conditions. The application makes it easier for the operation. It spares all concerned from a lot of paperwork and accelerates the formalities. Everything is centralized in the web application.

The challenge for such a system is to have the proper architecture to mine high volume market data to find discrepancies in the transactions executed by brokers. This system also required workflow with windows like UI on browser to process these discrepancies.

The Solution

zCon designed and developed this cloud based SaaS application that allows multiple brokers to upload transaction data and cross check it with the third party data, enabling them to find exceptions in their transactions based on rules provided by the respective business regulatory body.

The system facilitates large volume data collection from primary and secondary markets with order events, routes, executions, trade bust, OATS ROEs and market-data and ties it together performing regulatory surveillance checks, independent of trading system. The system is accessible through both tablets and mobile devices. zCon implemented complex business logic for client exceptions and OATs validation as per FINRA rules and regulations.

The resulting product does financial risk management analysis by error processing on 20+ different parameters and provides optimized performance with scalability to process approximately 250 million records per day for individual clients to identify discrepancies.

Due to superior design including the implementation of multithreading and concurrent processes for multiple entities and the performance tuning capabilities of zCon, the client’s customers can now process 10 GB of transaction data in 30-45 minutes from a single repository rather than requiring several hours and multiple spreadsheets and emails. Problem Statement

Client required a product to check the Eligibility & Rx-Billing claim process for patients. The basic purpose was to have a system in a healthcare facility to check insurance eligibility, prescription pricing, and determine the best combination of medications that can be given to a patient.

  • Job Status Reports (JSR): These reports consist of the details of status for a particular job for that particular day which includes parameters such as Number of employees, hours spent on the job, cost-code, and classification of work, work description, material required, accidents and photos.
  • Time Cards: The daily submitted Job Status Reports (JSR) are converted to weekly time cards of the employee, displaying the work hours spent on the Jobs in that particular week. These details are used for the approval of weekly hours and payment of the employees.
  • Summary Reports: This report shows the summary of a particular job over the selected date range, allowing one to have an overview of the job on a larger time scale of a few weeks or months.

Unit Control Plan:

Fluid parameters are added here which involves chemical contents (like PH, RI, etc.), min/max alert values, and frequency. Then depending upon this frequency of the parameters, test values are entered in the data entry module. The data from the Control Panel is then used to drive the functioning of data entry, reports generation, and review of parameters.

Data Entry:

Used to enter the actual test values for the fluid parameter depending upon the frequ, max) values and actual values on Data Entry:

  • Alert Report – Used to display values depending upon the difference between Control Plan (min, max) value and Data Entry value of the parameter.
  • Fluid Performance Report – Includes an overall summary of the selected fluid parameters depending on various criteria like scheduling test of fluid parameters.

The solution has the following functional components:

Prescription:

This is the core functionality that is used to submit/reverse a claim. This page holds data for Drugs, Claim, Pricing, and Compound. It also holds a set of standard values as per the telecommunication standard for other fields that are required for claim messages.

Claims Processing:

The standard claims processing methods are used to submit the claim to the clearinghouse. The application generates the claims billing (B1) message and submits it to the clearinghouse. Based on the response from the clearinghouse, the system generates a claim reversal (B2) message to reverse/cancel the claim billing message.

Eligibility Process:

This application checks eligibility of patients using NCPDP D.0 standard (E1) eligibility check the message and populates the patient coverage information to end-users.

Transaction Logs:

Audit log functionality (which is mandatory for any Healthcare application) to track the claims transactions with the clearinghouse, where end-users and administrators can check and verify the claim transaction status. This page includes various fields that help end-users to quickly review the transactions and accelerate the process for facilities and pharmacy companies.

WCF Restful services for external EMR application:

For external EMRs, zCon has developed a WCF Restful service that takes inputs for Claim messages (B1) in JSON format, validates the input data as per NCPDP D.0 format and converts it to NCPDP standard for claim messages. This service also provides immediate response for the claim messages to external EMR applications and also automatically generates reversal messages to reverse/cancel the claim.

Claim Responses:

This is the most important function of this application. It provides information about the claims for the prescription and claim status (approved, paid, rejected, etc.) The response for each prescription is shown on the response details page with code-values as per NCPDP standard, so cleaned data is shown on the end-user page.

zCon has integrated this application with First Data bank (a third party drug database) to get medication details such as Name, Route, Dose, Strength, NDC, Price, UOM, etc. An algorithm is also provided to find branded/generic drug combinations and pharmacy class drugs for the claim messages.

Additionally, multiple facility/pharmacy companies can electronically communicate with the payor/clearinghouse to verify the patient’s status for prescriptions.
